November 03, 2007 The 2008 Seating Chart has been updated. Can be viewed on the Ball Page. Parading Krewes and the SPLL Board of Directors have until December 15th to reserve their tables/tickets to the Ball. Any remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on December 15th through the online store. We've had a few questions about the Theme for 2008, Groundhog Day is traditionally on February 2nd each year in the US and Canada, the same day as our 2008 Parade. The Theme is in reference to that fact. IF our Flamingeaux Phil doesn't see his shadow will we have six more weeks of Mardi Gras? Who knows... we will see! Wiki Source Information
November 02, 2007 The 2008 Parade and Ball letters were sent out by e-mail or regular mail yesterday, November 01, make sure you check your junk mail folder. If you are a Krewe that paraded last year and you do not receive the letter by sometime next week, please send your Krewe name, contact name, address and email address using the Contact Page and you will be resent a copy if you qualify. Your Krewe Contact Person is the one that gets the forms. The 2008 Theme: Flamingeaux Phil Predicts The 2008 Dignitaries are: King Danny McGlynn, Queen “Buffy” Struppeck and Grand Marshal Lonnie "Alonzo" Hunter Choices will be the headlining band, the opening band to be announced later. New Krewe Applications for the 2008 Parade will start being accepted after December 15th if slots are available, keep checking the website for more information.
